This service is provided for people that work under the Department of Transportation and who have been found in violation of the Drug and Alcohol Regulations. Employers are required to refer any employee that violates the Drug and Alcohol Regulations for a S.A.P. Evaluation. A thorough evaluation of substance use history and mental health issues is conducted. Based on the findings of the evaluation, recommendations are then made. The S.A.P. provider monitors the compliance with the recommendations and communicates this to the employer.
The fee for the S.A.P. Evaluation is $500 and is not insurance billable.
